April 2023: U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) announced that San Dieguito High School Academy students, Henry Clare, Gianna Laponte, Bronte Kunkler and Madeline Morton, were accepted into the 49th District Congressional Art Contest! You can find the artworks on Mike Levin's Facebook page HERE.
In addition, Henry, Bronte and Madeline were selected to be part of the 32 art pieces selected to be shown at the Oceanside Museum of Art from April 18th-April 22 with an awards ceremony happening on Saturday, April 22nd from 2-4pm.
April 2023:
10th Annual Groff Exhibition! Congratulations to Fortune Fechtor, Sophia Piccone, Chloe Grace Roche, Bronte Kunkler, Lena Medak, and Christa Mellina Gottardo for their acceptance into the San Diego County Groff Exhibition.
Their artwork will be on display from April 4th-21st at San Diego City College's City Gallery with a closing reception awards ceremony on April 23rd from 2-4pm.
April 2023:
Aila Boger and Buddy accepted into the San Diego Museum of Art “Young Art” biennial show. Her work, "Irrational Fear", is on display in the free gallery until May 15, 2023!
May 2021:
U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) announced that San Dieguito High School Academy student, Chloe Grace Roche and her piece called “Digitally Divided”, is the winner of the 2021 Congressional Art Competition for California’s 49th Congressional District! Chloe's piece will now be exhibited at the Oceanside Museum of Art from May 13 to June 13, 2021 and she will receive a cash prize of $500. Her art will then represent the 49th Congressional District in the halls of the US Capitol later this year.
Julia Orr (Senior) and Owen Isachsen (Junior) also received certificates of merit for their strong submissions.
